-Projects-
2019: A Green Dream? Kanazawa, Japan.
Together with professor Shichio Minato from the Fukui University I organized an international symposium on non-toxic/safer printmaking on 8,9 and 10 March 2019 at the Kanazawa Yuwaku Sousaku no Mori Centre for Arts and Crafts and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Arts Kanazawa.
About 100 printmakers attended this symposium. Not only from Japan but also from the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Brazil, USA and Canada.
2006: Eluleka-project, GGA, Cato-Ridge, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
In July and August 2006, myself and a group of Flemish/South-African printmakers set up a small printmaking studio in the CGA orphanage. Our mission was to learn the children the power of printmaking. During our stay we organized classes in printmaking, drawing and storytelling.
2004: kamer108 vzw, Ghent, Belgium.
In that year I started a non-profit organization with the Academy for Visual Arts Ghent, Ghent, Belgium. Our goal is to promote non-toxic/safer ways of printmaking, organize in our studio gallery exhibitions with artists who focus in their work on printmaking, research non-toxic/safer printmaking methods and give workshops non-toxic/safer printmaking to a broad public (not only our students). This project is still ongoing.
